# Assets and media

Assets is the reusable media library for a workspace. It keeps source material, generated
work, edited variants, and campaign output connected to the content workflow instead of
scattered across folders and chats.

## What belongs in Assets

- Logos, product screenshots, team photos, brand imagery, and reusable graphics.
- Uploaded and Vuti-generated video.
- Campaign images and product-photoshoot variants.
- Audio used as a soundtrack or creative reference.
- Media that should be attached from Compose, Calendar, Vuti, Catalog, or Creative Studio.

Use search and filters to find work by type or status. Open an asset to preview it, update
its name and metadata, download it, reuse it in a post, or remove it when it is no longer
needed.

## Generate and edit images

Create images from a calendar brief, Vuti, or [Creative Studio](https://www.vuti.io/docs/creative-studio).
Choose the output format and Draft, Standard, or Final quality for the job.

Vuti can also edit an existing image from a natural-language instruction. Controlled
multi-reference edits let you preserve approved products, people, styles, or regions while
changing another part of the composition. Save reusable references in a versioned
reference pack when the same identity constraints should apply again.

## Create and finish video

Open an image or video in the media editor to enter the video workspace. Depending on the
model and source, you can animate an image, create from multiple references, edit a clip,
or extend a completed video.

The same editor supports caption drafting and styling plus soundtrack selection or upload.
Rendered caption and soundtrack jobs create a finished video asset instead of overwriting
the original source.

Video generation runs asynchronously. The asset and render journey show whether a job is
queued, rendering, finishing, completed, failed, or canceled. Completed renders are saved
back to Assets automatically.

## Quality and provenance

Generated assets can include:

- automated creative-quality scores and warnings;
- moderation and commercial-use state;
- source assets, model choice, generation settings, and reference-pack lineage;
- consent records for controlled references;
- feedback such as on-brand, off-brand, use more like this, or avoid this style.

Use these records to understand how an asset was made and to improve the next generation.
They support review but do not replace a human check before publishing.

## Using assets in content

Open [Compose](https://www.app.vuti.io/compose) or a calendar slot, then choose media from
the library. You can attach multiple media items where the destination format supports
them, reorder selected assets, and add alt text before publishing.

Storage limits depend on your plan. Delete obsolete assets when they are safe to remove,
but keep source material that is still referenced by active campaigns or reproducible
creative work.
