# Compose and drafts

Compose is the fastest place to create or refine a specific post. Use it when you already
know what you want to say, when you are editing a planned draft, or when you need to publish
outside a full calendar plan.

## What Compose is for

- Writing a new post from scratch.
- Building a multi-post thread for X or Bluesky.
- Writing a long-form X Article with a title, structured body, cover image, and Article preview.
- Refining drafts that came from Vuti or the planner.
- Choosing platforms and checking whether the copy fits each channel.
- Attaching uploaded assets, generated images, or a LinkedIn document carousel.
- Saving work as a draft, scheduling it, or opening an existing scheduled post.

## Drafts, scheduled posts, and published posts

Compose separates work by state so you can find the right item quickly.

- **Drafts:** posts that still need editing or approval.
- **Scheduled:** approved posts with a publish time.
- **Published:** delivery history for content Vuti has already sent.

If a post came from the calendar, opening it in Compose keeps the same content record. That
means edits, selected assets, and status changes stay connected.

## Practical workflow

1. Open [Compose](https://www.app.vuti.io/compose).
2. Select the platform or connected account you want to write for.
3. Write or paste the idea.
4. Use Vuti for a rewrite if the draft needs a stronger angle, shorter copy, or a different
   tone.
5. Attach media from [Assets](https://www.app.vuti.io/assets) if the post needs images,
video, or a LinkedIn document carousel, then reorder media and add alt text where needed.
6. Save as a draft, schedule it, or move it into review.

## Publish a LinkedIn document carousel

1. Select only LinkedIn as the destination.
2. Attach one PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, or DOCX file from your device or Assets.
3. Review the document title and preview, then save, schedule, or publish the post.

A LinkedIn document cannot be mixed with images or video in the same post. Vuti accepts
documents up to 50 MB; LinkedIn supports documents up to 300 pages.

## Create and schedule an X Article

1. In Compose, switch the content format from **Post** to **Article**.
2. Vuti locks the destination to X because Articles are an X-only publishing format.
3. Add a clear title and write the body with headings, lists, links, quotes, bold, and italics.
4. Use the readiness panel and Article preview to check the opening, structure, read time, and cover image.
5. Save the Article as a draft, choose a date and time, then select **Schedule article**. You can also select **Publish** when it is ready to go live immediately.

X requires an eligible Premium or Premium+ account to publish Articles. Compose shows the connected account's eligibility and always lets you keep an ineligible or unconfirmed Article safely as a draft.

## Build a thread

Choose X or Bluesky and add each thread post in publish order. Vuti keeps the thread as one
content record for preview, review, scheduling, and publishing. Platform limits still
apply, so check every segment and the selected media before approval.

## Tips for better drafts

- Start with the audience problem, not the product feature.
- Keep the call to action clear and specific.
- Use the preview before scheduling so line breaks and media feel right.
- If Vuti sounds off-brand, update the [voice profile](https://www.app.vuti.io/settings?tab=assistant)
rather than fixing the same issue post by post.
